Braai
Braai
Oh no, oh no, less then a week and it is time to go home. But I enjoyed my last days which started Sunday with a 'afskeidsbraai' with the family: aunt, cousins and their children. Great company, lots of laughs, good food and too many drinks. Hans finally managed to throw me, totally dressed, in the pool, luckily not before I managed to empty my pockets of phone, camera, etc. And ... he did not stay totally dry in the process ;-). Good fun.

The following days I enjoyed the sun and the pool at Bob's before going to Rudy and Charlene. Packing up proofed to be the usual hassle made worse by the fact that I bought a few souvenirs and presents. 20 kilo's is not much so my small backpack (hand luggage) ended up just as heavy.
Before I knew it I was sitting on a plane again. The last one for a while I guess.

I do not know what the most amazing thing about this year of adventures was: sky diving, bungee jumping, white water rafting, hiking in the rockies, sleeping in the hay, walking on beautiful beaches, watching the sun set or the sun rise, hiking the West coast trail, sitting around a fire roasting marshmellows, gazing at the stars, pit toilets and bucket showers or enjoying beautiful and amazing scenery of rainforests, mountains, rivers, lakes, waterfalls, beaches and farmlands or all the glimpses I got of everyday life and the varied communities across the countries.
I do know that I will not forget any of this and the wonderful people I met along the way.

I hope you enjoyed reading. I do not know yet what will happen over the next few weeks but I will keep you posted, so check again soon.
